A program to empower young people, ages 11-15, to reach their spiritual aspirations and contribute to a better society.

Get Involved

What is it?

In an effort to understand and contribute to a process of social change, the Jr Youth Group meets every other week to provide a safe place for young people to discuss issues and develop a sense of social responsibility. As a secular framework, the focus is on developing virtues, like honesty, to help make the participating individuals and the world a better place. Sound pretty cool? We think so.

In case you’re wondering, it’s free.

What do we do?

There’s a book that goes with this program with stories and questions at the end. It’s a framework for conversation which builds communication skills and analytical thinking. Then we talk about things going on in our lives, play games and do services projects around the community. Have a cool idea for a service project? Let us know, we’re looking for more.

Hey, we also built this website together.

Why do we do it?

We have to share this world, so why shouldn’t we try to make it better? This group is a small counter-influence to the negative pop culture. Have you seen the crazy people on TV? Man, they are crazy.

It’s called the Jr Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program because it’s for young people, ages 11-15, to feel motivated and capable of making a positive change in their world. Just think how society would benefit if all young people felt that way.

When do we meet?

We meet every other Sunday, usually at 2. Which Sunday? It all depends, so contact us below if you’d like to check it out.

Meet the Collaborators

Since all the members work together to structure the activities, they are considered “collaborators,” not just “participants.” Anybody is able to come hang out, there isn’t a fee. You can call these four the regulars. Or you could call them by name, that works too.
